This is my gardenia. Since living in Texas I have had three gardenia shrubs. None of them have ever bloomed until now. This makes me happy. So far I only have one fragrant and delicate little flower on my front porch, but still I am happy. I had gardenias at my wedding.

As I was enjoying this beautifully cropped picture of your gardenia I heard this semi-obnoxious song playing. It took me a minute to realize it was the theme song from Mario Brothers and immediately smiled in honor of Henry. My memory scanned through the multiple times I've had telephone conversations with Henry strictly about the Nintendo and in particular Mario Kart. Good times, great memories!!

Check your thumb, it must be turning greener by the minute. And all the while other peoples' faces are turning green with envy. Those offspring look mighty fine too!
